- A 3-hour roaming six course meal with a passionate private guide
- Private tastings with talks by local vendors
- A taste of delicious traditional British foods
- World-class international produce, from innovative charcuterie to classic cheeses
- Discover the local area’s fascinating secrets on an off-the-beaten track route
2-5 GUESTS £110 PER ADULT / £80 PER CHILD
6-14 GUESTS £70 PER ADULT / £50 PER CHILD
This tour can be taken at any time, but if you want to avoid the market’s crowds we recommend 2.30pm on a weekday and 9.30am on a Saturday. The market is closed on Sunday so the tour is not available then.
We Start with Tea
Before anything else, we must start with a cup of tea, the lifeblood of British society. It’s accompanied by a breakfast bap – a traditional snack in a traditional cafe.
Taste British Charcuterie
Taste your way around the south of England with varieties such as duck and Szechuan pepper, veal and thyme, deer and beef in a private tasting led by a passionate British producer.
Taste Swiss Cheese
Unique Swiss varieties of mild, soft, hard, blue with added mustard and truffle honey from an innovative family-owned producer.
Indulge in a Scotch Egg
You have to taste it to believe it. This is an award-winner from a local organic supplier, and we featured it in our blog on the subject here.
Luxuriate in the Finest Hot Chocolate
The stuff dreams are made of, in a cafe and restaurant dedicated to chocolate.
“Shot” the Freshest Oysters
Tip back native British oysters from a seventh-generation oyster man.
Sample a Selection of Wines
Join us for a drink in a hidden, award-winning wine warehouse, exclusive to our Borough food tour.
Tuck into a Secret Dessert
Choose a filling dessert in a secret spot and we reflect on the foodie and historical secrets we have learned.
Secret Treats and Tasty Recommendations
We have to keep some things secret, so you’ve got a few edible surprises in store. We’ll also give you a blueprint of where to go and what to avoid in London when it comes to food, for the rest of your trip.

We like to stay in touch, so if there are any questions, big or small, for the rest of your trip, we welcome you to message us. We’re always happy to help.
